Good hair days
start at home.
A thoughtful care routine helps keep your hair feeling beautiful between appointments.
A little care
goes a long way.
These are general recommendations. Always follow the product, application and maintenance instructions personalized to your method.
Cleansing.
Use extension-safe shampoo and concentrate on the scalp. Avoid aggressively scrubbing or twisting attachment areas. Condition mids and ends as directed for your specific hair.
Drying.
Gently squeeze excess water from your hair with a towel. Dry attachment areas thoroughly, and follow the drying guidance for your specific installation.
Brushing.
Detangle carefully from ends upward, supporting the attachment area with your free hand. Separate and check between rows as instructed.
Hydration.
Use the leave-in products or lightweight oils recommended for your hair. Keep heavy products and conditioners away from attachment points unless specifically advised.
Heat styling.
Apply a heat protectant and use a controlled heat setting appropriate for your natural and extension hair. Avoid direct heat on attachments.
Bedtime + activities.
Go to bed with dry, detangled hair, secured in a loose braid or another protective style. Ask for individual advice about swimming, sun exposure and workouts.
When to reach out
If you notice unusual tension, discomfort, matting, slippage, irritation or a loose attachment, contact the salon instead of attempting repairs yourself.
Stay on schedule
Maintenance intervals are individualized. Schedule your next visit according to the method and timing we discussed at your installation.
